Features

SSE Riga offers a unique programme where economics education is combined with business lessons and entrepreneurial experiences. When graduating from secondary school, the majority of young adults have insufficient experience to understand whether they would like to study economics or business, therefore acquiring academic and professional insights in both serves as a solid springboard for further career development. Moreover, the challenge of integrating knowledge and skills in both economics and business is of special value in the modern business world where professionals have to achieve high levels of multi tasking.

Studying in an international environment, with English as the language of instruction, adds to academic, professional, social and personal development. The student body is formed by students from the Baltic states (on average 65 per cent/Latvia, 25 per cent/Lithuaniaand 10 per cent/Estonia) and international exchange students (Erasmus, HESP, bilateral agreements worldwide). Studying together adds new cross-cultural experience and facilitates communication and interpersonal skills. The international context is enhanced by the international faculty who contribute their academic and professional experience from Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, the UnitedKingdom and the United States.

Admitting just 120 top undergraduates a year through a rigid three-step admission process, SSE Riga provides an elite learning environment that has a recognised reputation for teaching, learning and applied research. Being a small school with close to 400 students, it takes just a few months to get to know each other through project work, studying together, assisting each other and socializing. The intensive curriculum and a strong international undergraduate group create a vibrant and intellectually challenging study environment at SSE Riga.
